| Operational roles such as stevedoring, truck driving and operating heavy machinery. These occupations can be entered from school. Skills are largely learnt on the job. |
Tradespeople such as carpenters, plumbers and electrician are required to keep the port in good condition. People working in these roles normally complete an apprenticeship through registered training organisations such as the Gordon Institute of TAFE and grain port -related skills on the job. |
